E-Appliance for Bite, TMJ & Airway

A patented double-arch oral appliance that stabilizes the bite and helps reduce TMJ pain, grinding, and airway issues.

A different approach to bite and airway problems

The E-Appliance is a patented double-arch oral orthotic developed by Dr. Eubanks. Unlike traditional single-arch night guards — which only cushion teeth from grinding — the E-Appliance is designed to stabilize the entire chewing system: the bite, the jaw joint (TMJ), and the muscles that control them.

The problem it addresses

Improper positioning of the temporomandibular joint, an unbalanced bite, and overactive jaw muscles can lead to:

  • Excessive wear, chips, and cracks on the teeth
  • Loose teeth or teeth that have shifted over time
  • Headaches and pain or tenderness in the jaw joint
  • Popping or clicking of the joint
  • Long-term deterioration of the TMJ
  • Disrupted sleep and snoring related to airway position

Traditional single-arch guards reduce some symptoms of grinding, but they can't address the underlying instability — and the natural physiology of the bite can keep the joint deteriorating even with a guard in place.

How the E-Appliance is different

The double-arch design covers both the upper and lower teeth simultaneously, giving the bite a stable, repeatable position. That stability lets the muscles relax, takes pressure off the TMJ, and — for many patients — improves nighttime airway position as well.

What to expect

The appliance is custom-fitted from impressions of your teeth, easy to wear, and easy to clean. Most patients wear it during sleep; Dr. Aiello will discuss the right schedule for your situation.
